SEPTEMBER BEAUTY FAVORITES

Happy October! I can’t believe how fast this year is going. It’s that time of the month where I share my favorite beauty products from the previous month. I’ve been playing in a lot of beauty and skincare products lately, so I wanted to share my favorites that I’ve been raving about all September. I also wanted to give you a preview of some recommendations that I’ll be sharing for the annual Sephora VIB sale. All products will be linked. **Some links that are listed are affiliate links.

SKINCARE:

Glow Recipe Papaya Sorbet Enzyme Cleansing Balm

I’m a huge fan of the double-cleanse method. I like to use a cleansing balm or oil to remove my makeup and afterwards wash my face with my regular cleanser. I’m pretty picky about the balms/oils that I use and this one from Glow Recipe did not disappoint. This balm does a great job at melting all my makeup off, including the hairline (yes the hairline). The hairline is one of the toughest places to remove makeup, especially when it’s caked up. I noticed that other balms break down my makeup, but they don’t actually melt it away. I definitely recommend if you’re in need of a new precleanse. It has a great smell and doesn’t burn my eyes.

Bliss Clear Genius Clarifying Cleanser + Serum

I was gifted this collection from Bliss and I must say that it’s my favorite from what I’ve received from the brand. I’ve been suffering from acne a lot lately and this Clear Genius collection has helped my skin big time. I noticed less breakouts when using the cleanser and serum together. When I do get breakouts both products help to reduce acne and clean my pores.

Olehenriksen Banana Bright Serum

I’m a huge fan of Olehenriksen products. I’ve mentioned their toners and eye creams in the past and still use them. I’ve been on the hunt for vitamin c serums and I came across this one from Olehenriksen. It’s really great. It contains Vitamin C and Hyaluronic Acid, which has great benefits. I love that this serum helps to brighten dark spots, even my skin, but it’s also very moisturizing. I recommend using this in your daytime routine.

BEAUTY:

Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder (Honey)

I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect setting powder and I think I found it. All summer I’ve been testing different setting powders to see which one would be the perfect fit. I wanted something that wasn’t too yellow, but still gave me that nice highlighted look. Recently Laura Mercier came out with their new translucent powder in honey and I’m in love. The powder is super fine and has a smooth texture. I love that it isn’t too yellow, but still gives a nice golden glow. It’s also not drying. I was a little reluctant to try this, because the original powder didn’t work for me. I’m really glad I purchased this one. It’s made a big difference in my makeup looks and application.

ELF Camo Concealer Sponge

This E.L.F. Camo sponge is my jam. I was introduced to it by Aaliyah Jay. She shared it on her YouTube channel and I had to try it out. It’s pretty comparable to the original beauty blender, but I think this is a little softer. I love that it gets into those small corners of my eye, which allows me to have a seamless blend. It’s also very affordable.

The Lip Bar Quick Conceal Caffeine Concealer

The Lip Bar launched their new concealers last month and I’ve been into them. I typically love a thick full coverage concealer, but I’ve been into concealers that are lightweight and leave a natural finish recently. This Quick Caffeine concealer is perfect for an everyday look. It’s medium coverage and isn’t too thick. I use the shade 5:00 Mocha, which is the perfect match to my complexion. I also use 4:00 Cinnamon when I want to brighten under my eyes.

Urban Decay Naked Mascara

Lately I’ve been wearing makeup looks without any lashes. My natural lashes are non-existent, so I wanted to find a mascara that would add more volume. This Lash Freak mascara from Urban Decay does just that. I’ve seen this mascara floating around Instagram, so I was nervous that it was another one of those overhyped products. It’s actually not. I think this mascara works really well to add volume and length. It also doesn’t clump together, which is a plus. I like that I can apply a thin layer and it works just fine.

Have you been into beauty and skincare lately? If so, what are some of your favorite products? I’ve been having a blast trying new things and can’t wait for the Sephora sale this month. Stay tuned for my Sephora VIB recommendations and all of the details regarding the sale. Have a good one, loves.
