NEON SHOES ARE THE JAM

Hey loves.  Hope you’re having a great day.  It’s hot hot hot ya’ll.  This heat is no joke lol.  When I think of warm weather I think of bright colors.  It’s something about neon/bright colors that puts me in a great mood. I recently purchased a pair of Bottega Veneta dupes and I couldn’t wait to wear them.  Those heels got me excited to wear more neon this summer.  Today I’m sharing some of my favorite neon heels and how I incorporate them in my summer wardrobe. If you’re a little intimidated by wearing bright colors I’m also sharing tips on how you can style neon to fit your style and comfort. I know most of us are still in the house, but I plan on getting dressed up and looking cute any chance I get.

ASOS Public Desire Mules: I’m pretty sure these are my favorite heels at the moment.  Obviously the color is stunning, but they’re also surprisingly comfortable.  I’ve been on the hunt for blue square mules since the beginning of the year (check my Pinterest board lol).  I finally found a pair at ASOS and I immediately added them to my cart (bye bye money).  I love these heels so much.  They’re fun,  affordable (less than $50), and simple. I can get good use out of these and make the most of the money spent (STEAL). They can be worn with almost any look, but I love paring these with dresses and jeans.

I styled the mules with this solid cream dress which is my favorite combo. It maintains the classic elements that I love without being over the top. I could see myself wearing this outfit to brunch with girls (whenever that happens) or really anytime during the day. If bright colors are overwhelming for you a tip would be to try mixing and matching with neutral colors like creams, whites, blushes, and tans.

This blazer and heel combo is definitely for the woman who wants to be seen.  I’ll admit, this is me most of the time lol.  I like when people notice my outfit from a mile away (okayyyy). This combo screams extra (I am HER).  It also puts me in the happiest moods.  I receive so many compliments whenever I pair a bright blazer with bright heels.  I saw @thejenniejenkins  style a pair a neon heels similar to this and thought it was super cute.  Jennie definitely inspired this look (click on her Instagram name to see the inspiration).

JustFab Mikelle Strappy Heels: Lace up heels are all the rave this season.  I’ve been seeing so many cute styles with lace up heels.  I love this pair from JustFab.  They make a statement, but the heel isn’t too high.  Okay, they’re kitten heels (don’t come for me).  I never thought in a million years you’d catch me wearing the kittens, but here we are. The neon coral and strap combo was a win for me.  Honestly, I quickly got over the kitten heel as soon as I noticed how comfortable they were. Lace up heels are perfect if you want your legs to appear more elongated.  I don’t have the longest legs in the world, but I sure feel like I do when I wear these. I like to pair my heels with shorter skirts, dresses, and shorts. I’ve also been seeing so many people style their heels with jeans, like the pictures below. If you’re apprehensive about this sort of heel try pairing it with a solid dress like the black denim dress below.  If you love playing with colors try pairing your heels with another bright color like the yellow jacket below.  Both styles are great and can be work for multiple occasions.

MissLola Kylie Heel: These heels are very sexy.  They’re perfect for date night. They’re also perfect if you’re trying to stunt and make a statement.  These are definitely for the more experienced neon heel girl.  I paired them with this neon orange blazer dress, which was a hit.

Will you be trying out the neon heel trend this summer? If so, what’s your favorite type and how will you be styling them? Be sure to share/comment if you try any of my style suggestions.  And as always I hope you all have a great week.
