Perfume is my jam y’all. I have an unhealthy obsession with perfumes/colognes. I love trying new scents and figuring out what works best for me. Is it just me, or do certain scents bring back memories? To me perfume also tells a story.  I think you can tell a lot about someone by the perfume/cologne they wear. You can tell if they mean business or if they’re down for a good time. While I love to wear many different perfumes, there are certain scents that work well during a particular season. Today I’m sharing four of my favorite perfumes that work well in the summer and even during quarantine.

Kayali Vanilla 28 (Key Notes: Vanilla Orchids, Tonka Absolute, Amber Woods)

This is a true vanilla scent.  No shade to Bath & Body Works ‘Warm Vanilla Sugar’, but this is for the grown and sexy who still want to smell sweet.  This scent is very unique.  It smells like it was extracted straight from a Madagascar vanilla bean. I get the most compliments whenever I wear this perfume, especially from men.  If you’re in the business of making heads turn this scent is definitely for you.

Jo Malone Wood Sage & Sea Salt (Key Notes: Ambrette Seeds, Sea Salt, Sage)

This scent is clean yet spicy.  I love it because it smells very fresh. I also think this is great as a unisex cologne. If you want to be at the beach instead of being in quarantine this is the perfect cologne for you.

Ariana Grande Cloud (Key Notes: Top – lavender, pear, bergamot; Middle – coconut, praline, vanilla orchid; Base – cashmere)

I know what you’re probably thinking “ARIANA GRANDE.”  Yes! Ariana Grande.  Now my days of wearing celebrity perfumes are well over, but this one was a must. I heard so many great things about this scent, so I had to see what the hype was all about.  One would think this perfume would smell reminiscent of Claire’s, but to my surprise it actually smells very mature.  It’s a little sweet, but more on the clean side.  The smell isn’t too overwhelming, but it lasts all day long. If you want an everyday summer scent Ariana Grande Cloud is perfect.

Valentino Donna Born in Roma (Key Notes: Blackcurrant, Jasmine Grandiflorum, Bourbon Vanilla)

Oh the memories!  I was introduced to this perfume by @pocketsandbows and let me tell y’all…it is worth the hype. I hadn’t smelled this prior to purchasing, so I was little apprehensive but I was not disappointed. I mentioned that certain scents remind me of memories, well when I sprayed this it immediately reminded me of Rome.  I thought of the crisp air, walking through Vatican City, and the cobblestones. It’s truly a floral scent, but has a slight touch of vanilla.  This is a summer dream.  If you’re into florals, but nothing too powerful this is perfect for you.  If I ever get the chance to travel to Rome again I’ll definitely be bringing this along.
