SEPHORA VIB SALE
The time has come people. It’s time to shop until you drop at the Sephora VIB sale. If you’re reading this, I’ve probably already started my shopping. I love this time of year, because I get to purchase all of the items that I’ve been eyeing all year and for a discounted price. If you’re unfamiliar with the Sephora sale here’s the scoop. Twice a year Sephora decides to be nice and save our pockets a little change. They offer the VIB sale for Rouge, VIB, and Beauty Insider members. If you’re Rouge (and a crazy Sephoraholic like myself) you get to participate in the sale a little early (November 1-11) and receive 20% off your entire order. VIB and Beauty Insiders can shop the sale from November 7-11. VIB receive 15% off and Beauty Insider receive 10% off. Can we say deal? That’s a huge deal at Sephora, because they don’t have sales too often. Today I’m sharing all of my recommendations for the VIB sale, so grab a snack and let’s get started.
BEAUTY
I’ll be honest…I haven’t been too impressed with beauty products this year, so I don’t have too many recommendations. I’ve fallen in love with a few products this year that I’m sharing, so be sure to click on the pink links and they will direct you to the exact product on the Sephora website:
Jackie Aina x Anastasia Beverly hills eyeshadow palette: Everybody loves Auntie Jackie. This year she collaborated with ABH to create the perfect “brown-girl” friendly eyeshadow palette. Honestly, the palette looks great on everyone. I’ve used it so many times and it’s been a staple in my makeup collection. Here’s a few looks that I created using the palette:
Huda Beauty Mercury Retrograde palette: This is the palette that I was most excited for this year. I just purchased it and was so happy to get my hands on it during the sale. I can’t wait to share the looks that I create with it.
Fenty Beauty gloss set: I’m a huge fan of the Fenty Gloss Bomb, so when I saw that she created a gift set with new shades, I had to get it. I honestly use this gift set everyday. It’s a nice set for yourself or as a gift someone else.
Buxom Lipgloss: I love the sale, because I get a chance to stock up on my faves. The Buxom lipgloss is my holy grail lipgloss. Something about the tingly feeling that the lip plumper gives just makes me happy lol. I love how the lipgloss feels. It isn’t super sticky. The colors are also really beautiful and the pigment is subtle and perfect for work.
ABH Liquid Lipstick: ABH can do no wrong when it comes to their liquid lipsticks. I recently discovered the perfect chocolate brown shade ‘Maude’ and I’m obsessed. Here’s a picture of Maude below:
NARS Creamy Radiant Concealer: I finally got around to trying this concealer and I don’t know what took me so long. It’s perfect. I love it! It’s a lightweight consistency, but it still provides full coverage. Lately, I’ve just been applying this concealer along with powder and walking out the door. Definitely try this out if want to create an effortless on-the-go look.
Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask: The mother of all lip masks. I can’t rave about this product enough. It’s honestly so good. Moment of honesTEA…I used to be a Carmex kind of girl. I swear it was an addiction, but then I tried this lip mask and I was hooked. It keeps my lips so soft. I love waking up to nice smooth lips. It’s definitely my jam.
SKINCARE
Y’all already know how happy I get when I talk about skincare. I didn’t purchase too many items during the sale, because I have so many products that aren’t empty yet, but here are a few of my favorites that I think you should check out.
Kiehls Calendula Foam Wash: I’m pretty sure I talk about this face wash everyday, but it’s really so good. It’s become my everyday face wash in the morning and at night. I love how light it is, but it also deeply cleans my skin. I’m kind of lazy when it comes to removing my makeup and I hate using makeup wipes. I double cleanse using this foaming wash and it melts all of my makeup off like butter. It’s made with clean products so that’s a plus.
Olehenriksen Bright Eye Creme: The mother of all eye creams. I’m pretty sure I mention this eye cream every year, but it’s honestly good. It’s been a fave of mine since it came out (I believe four years ago). I love the smell and how it instantly brightens my under eye area. My eyes are very sensitive, but this cream doesn’t irritate them at all. The eye cream also contains vitamin c, which is really great for brightening your skin.
Caudalie Vinoperfect Brightening Serum: HOLY HOLY GRAIL!!!! Okay, I know I’m going overboard, but this serum has been in my life for five years now and I don’t see it going anywhere. If you suffer from hyper-pigmentation like myself, I think this would be perfect for you. The serum contains clean products, brightens my dark spots, and smells really good. I started noticing a difference in my skin (brightness of dark spots) after the first month of using this product. It also leaves a nice glow and I’m always here for that.
Origins Retexturizing Rose Clay Mask: I love this mask so much. It’s great if you suffer from texture issues. I’ve been using it for years and it hasn’t let me down. I love that Origins now offers this mask in travel size.
Olehenriksen Balancing Force Oil Control Toner: I like to use this toner when I’m suffering from breakouts. It’s great, because it controls my oil buildup. Oil buildup can cause unwanted acne, so I love that the product works to reduce access oils. It also works really well to decrease the size of my pimples and reduce redness. Desi Perkins was spot on when she recommended this product.
Summer Fridays: The Social Media brand. If Instagram gave out awards for the best skincare brand, I’m sure Summer Fridays would win by a landslide. The brand is all over the platform and for a good reason.Their products are great. One of the cofounders (Marianna Hewitt) is a huge inspiration of mine, and I love what she’s doing with the brand. My personal faves are the Jet Lag and Overtime masks. I use them both in my morning routine and they are great. I love the Jet Lag mask, because it really hydrates my skin and keeps it nice and moisturized during the day. The Overtime mask is perfect as an exfoliator. I use it so remove my dead skin and bring life back to it. I use them hand and hand and the combo is perfect. Summer Fridays is offering their products in a gift set this year and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it. The gift set is limited edition, so be sure to get your hands on it before it’s gone.
Glow Recipe Watermelon Juice Moisturizer: This is my favorite moisturizer to use in the summer. It smells like fresh watermelons and keeps my skin hydrated throughout the day. I just emptied my first bottle and definitely had to restock.
Tatcha Water Cream: What cream dreams are made of lol. But seriously, I’ve been in love with this water cream for a few years now. It’s a little on the pricey side, but it’s worth it. If you’re looking for a water based cream/moisturizer that isn’t dry, this is it. My skin is really dry in the winter so I love to pull this cream out and apply it at night.
Kiehls Cannabis Sativa Seed Oil Serum: This is a new recommendation this year. I received this serum in PR and I was a little apprehensive about it (hence the name). It honestly works really great. I use this serum when I experience redness or inflammation from breakouts. It works well to calm my skin from irritation and reduce the redness. The product is so soothing and really lives up to it’s name (hahaha).
Welp! Thats all folks. I really hope you’ll consider trying some of my recommendations out during the sale. As always, be sure to let me know what you purchased or any recommendations that you may have. I hope you all continue to have a great week. Happy shopping!
