Hey, loves. This year is flying by so fast. I can’t believe that September is already over. Where does the time go? I haven’t shared a monthly favorites in a while. I used a lot of fun products in September, so I decided to share some of my favorites with you.
Last month, Rihanna blessed us with her highly anticipated beauty line, ‘Fenty Beauty’ and the whole world was SHOOK. I’m still SHOOK (lol). I managed to get my hands on a few of the products (gloss bomb, primer, and killawat highlighter), and I’m in love with all of them. I posted an in-depth review on the Fenty Beauty line in a recent post, so be sure to check it out.
My favorite Beauty Guru, MakeupShayla collaborated with Maybelline and came out with her own City Mini palette that I love so much. I love how small the palette is. I’ve traveled a lot last month, and this was my go to palette. It’s so easy to toss in my carry on bag, and doesn’t take up too much space. The palette is also great, because the shadows are so pigmented, and there’s a nice range of colors. I’ve created daytime and night looks with the City Mini palette. This collaboration is the first that Maybelline has done with a beauty influencer, so it’s kind of a big deal, and I think it’s so awesome that they chose Shayla.

Speaking of collaborations. If you can’t tell, I’m a sucker for an awesome collaboration. I recently created a post about the Iluvsarahiixcolourpop collaboration in May (that I’m obsessed with). Well, Karen (iluvsarahii) decided that she wanted me be even more obsessed (and broke), and created an additional lippie as part of the collaboration called ‘Arriba.’ When I tell y’all that lippie is fire. It is literally FIRE. The color is so pretty and it’s the most universal red liquid lipstick that I’ve seen. It literally looks good on anyone, and makes them look fire as well (I like using the word FIRE to describe things if you couldn’t tell). I’m wearing Arriba in the picture above, and the one below as well.
If there’s one thing to know about me, it’s that I can’t go a day without wearing a highlighter on my face. I’m so obsessed with looking like a disco ball; it’s insane. Whenever I see a new highlighter on the market, I feel it is my duty buy it and try it out. I was in Walmart last month, and saw these gorgeous highlighters by Milani. I just had to try them. I’m not really sure if they are new, but I hadn’t seen them before, so they are new to me. I love them so much. They are so pigmented, and they last all day. I like to wear the color ‘4’ when I’m achieving an everyday look, because the glow is very pretty and subtle. I love wearing it to work, and beaming as I walk through the office (I’m sure I’m the only person who thinks that). The colors are so pretty, and if you’re a highlighter person like myself, you should definitely check them out.
Last month, Colourpop went on an eyeshadow palette frenzy. I also felt it was my duty to purchase all of their recent eyeshadow palettes (bye bye money). My favorite palette that they came out with last month was the ‘I Think I Love You’ palette. It’s so gorgeous (Yes! I think everything is gorgeous, but it really is). If I could describe the perfect palette, it would be the I Think I Love You palette. The colors are so me. I’m a sucker for neutral shades, especially browns and golds. I’m sure 90% of the eyeshadow that I own is in the same color range, but oh well. I love the palettes, because it has the perfect range of colors. There’s even a black shadow included. Colourpop is known to have quality products for an affordable price, and they definitely held up to their standards with this new palette. The colors are really pigmented, and last for a long time, and you can’t beat the price of $16 (for twelve shadows…WHAATT).
I definitely had a great time bingeing on beauty products in September, and can’t wait to see what cool collections come out in October. I hope y’all try some of my favorites, and enjoy them as well. Have a great day loves.
